Typecasting?

Paul Bettany, who plays Charles Darwin in Creation, is also playing the archangel Michael in the upcoming supernatural fantasy movie, Legion. According to the trailers, Michael comes to Earth to save humanity from the God's wrath.
I hope I'm not the only one who finds this pairing of roles amusing.

Well, he does saves the world in both movies. I don't see the problem.

Oh, cause some anti-evo's have been known to shout "Waterloo!" when they think they have some sort of point.

In a slightly more serious example of typecasting, some may remember that Paul Bettany played a Darwin-like character, Dr. Stephen Maturin, in Master and Commander: The Far Side of the World. In that movie, his ship ended up in the Galapagos Islands and he was instrumental in helping to defeat a rival French ship by using his biological insights.

So in one, he saves us from God's wrath, and in the other he is the angel revealing God's greatest gift and grace.

Course, to programmers in C and C++, "typecasting" has a whole other meaning than here.

Well Waterloo was, as the Duke of Wellington said, "a damn close run thing", so we still have quite a battle on our hands to defeat the creotards. I wonder who will be playing the part of the Prussians who turn up at the last minute and help to swing the thing? Apologies to any French people reading this.
