This reminded me of National Geographic’s Photo of the Day for April 5, 2011.
How does a sandhill crane find his/her one true love in all that?

One of the highlights of my sole trip to the US was watching thousands of Lesser Sandhills descending at dusk onto a tiny lake at Muleshoe, Texas. European Cranes are slowly, slowly creeping their way back into my particular corner of the UK!
